AI TV Production Engine
pickford
When a bold new vision for AI-generated television needed to move from rough demo to compelling, interactive storytelling platform, RSM stepped in.
We refined the concept, rebuilt the systems, and helped define a new kind of show — where AI creates the stories and live audiences help shape how they unfold.

The Challenge
Evolve an early-stage AI TV prototype into an automated production powerhouse with high quality visuals, engaging narratives, and real-time audience collaboration — powered by a virtual team of AI agents.
How do you make AI-generated content not just functional, but actually interesting?
The Pickford team had a working prototype for a real-time animated sitcom, powered by AI scripts and streamed live on Twitch. Pickford’s early demo was operational but limited. Character behaviors were basic, visuals were low-quality, and the underlying logic couldn’t support compelling narrative development.
The original ask was just to improve aesthetics, but discovery conversations led to a broader reimagining based on systems thinking.
Our mission became to define and develop an all-new, holistic, AI-centered technology network to create emotionally engaging, story-aware video content.
The Process
That meant rethinking the product’s entire foundation — from how stories are generated, to how they’re visualized, performed, and adapted in real time. We needed to invent the production logic, narrative mechanics, and infrastructure for a repeatable, scalable entertainment platform.
Rebuilt the Production Pipeline
Created a new Unity client with higher visual fidelity and a custom scripting system that enabled expressive, choreographed character behavior
Invented a Multi-agent Narrative Engine
Built a virtual AI production team (writer, director, editor, producer) that generated stories with internal logic, character arcs, and emotional resolution
Embedded Audience Interaction Logic
Used Twitch sentiment analysis to monitor viewer response and trigger real-time narrative shifts — like reversing a scene or branching to a new plot path — without breaking the overall story structure.
Delivered a modular, functional system
Brought the full operational capability set together, creating a compelling demo of what AI-powered, audience-influenced storytelling could become.
The Outcome
RSM transformed Pickford’s prototype into a modular, pitch-ready platform for AI-driven storytelling.
The result wasn’t just a more polished product — it was a more coherent one: capable of producing stories that react to their audiences and still deliver satisfying narrative arcs.
The project helped Pickford define what they were building: not just a tool, but a new kind of television — where AI functions as a virtual production studio, and audience interaction feeds the creative loop.

Why It Matters
The question of how to make AI-generated content resonate with human audiences is a cultural flashpoint — and Pickford is on the front edge of that conversation, proving that AI can do more than generate visuals, it can create emotionally engaging experiences.
